David and Louise Chambers

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing David and Louise Chambers on December 2, 2013.

David Earl Chambers was born July 15, 1931, in Maryfeild, Saskatchewan. Dave moved many times in his younger years before settling in Northwestern Ontario and making it home.

Louise Mary Chambers, neé DePiero, was born September 19, 1938 in Fort Frances, Ontario. Home for her was always Northwestern Ontario

They met Labour Day weekend, 1956, through close and much loved friends Rolland and Marg Rousseau. David proposed in a 1952 blue Ford truck and they were married June 1, 1957, and thus began a journey of a life time. When they were first married they lived in Atikokan; their first home was two rooms with a path. They spent several years there before moving back to Fort Frances in 1963.

Together they raised six children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and a great-great grandchild.

Left to cherish their memories are children, Shaun, Rick, Dale, Wendy, Mark, Nicole, and their spouses, 16 grandchildren and spouses, 9 and a half great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. They also leave sisters Lorraine, Lil, Norma and Aune and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, honorary children and friends.

They were pre-deceased by their parents, their sisters, brothers, a nephew and a niece.

A funeral mass was held for David and Louise on Saturday December 7, with Fr. Victor DeGagne Officiating. Interment will take place in Fort Frances cemetery at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Canadian Cancer Society, the Diabetes Association, or the Atikokan arena fund. Online condolences may be offered at www.northridgefuneralhome.com
