Ronald Ian Shakespeare
Ian was born at Grace Hospital in Winnipeg, Manitoba on November 5, 1966 and passed away at his home in Winnipeg on November 10, 2015.
He moved to Atikokan at the early age of 3½ years with his mom and sister, after the passing of his dad. He spent all of his school years growing up and graduating in Atikokan. He then went on to Confederation College in Thunder Bay. In the mid-1990s, Ian moved to Winnipeg where he remained until his passing. Atikokan was still always home.
His passions in life were always family, especially his son Christian, his friends and music.
Ian leaves behind his mom Bunty, step-dad Howie, son Christian, and sister Kim. Also left behind were his very special persons – friend Susan, niece Marissa, grandmother Janet Shakespeare, aunts Tami and Pat, and uncle John, as well as his ‘big bro’ Ray and several other aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
A come and go celebration in his memory will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion in Atikokan December 6, from 2 to 4 pm. Cremation has taken place and inurnment will take place at a later date.
Donations may be made to a charity of your choice or to an account held in trust of his son at TD-Canada Trust.
